This is a short video clip of me playing The Ninja on the Sega Master System retro video games console.
The Ninja, released on the Master System in 1986 is a conversion of the 1985 Sega arcade game Sega Ninja.
Gameplay is similar to the likes of Commando and Ikari Warriors, and interstingly, the original female character from the arcade game has been replaced by a male for this home version. The graphics have been altered, to appear more "realistic", while the levels have been changed and a srolls system included. Completing the game without collecting all of the scrolls will result in being dropped back into the game on the level where the missing scroll is to be found.
This and the other retro gaming clips on this site aren't intended as full game reviews, but are simply to give viewers who weren't around when these games were popular, an idea of what video games used to be like.
